„The Rock’o’graph“, unter diesem Namen lebe ich meinen Traum,
meine Leidenschaft zur Musik, meine Sympathie für Musiker und meine
Lust am Photographieren. Dabei besteht nicht der Anspruch Konzerte
dokumentarisch abzulichten, sondern das Ziel die Emotionen
einzufangen.
Während ich photographiere, tanze, gröle und singe ich und empfinde
mich sowohl als Bestandteil der Band, als auch als Teil des
Publikums. Die von mir empfundene Qualität meiner Bilder ist daher
extrem abhängig von der Stimmung in diesen magischen Momenten der
Musik.
Meine ersten Konzertphotos habe ich um 1979 gemacht. Gemacht
heisst: Photographiert, Negativ entwickelt und Abzüge entwickelt.
In der Zeit bis 1985 habe ich Künstler wie Rory Gallagher, Bo
Diddley, Chuck Berry, The G. Teils Band, ZZ Top, Richie Blackmore
photographiert.
Ein Brand in meinem Photolabor hat alle Negative und Abzüge
vernichtet. Lediglich eine Handvoll Negative hat überlebt. Nach
diesem Brand habe ich 25 Jahre keine Kamera mehr anfassen
können.
Anfang 2014 wollte ich es dann doch noch einmal wissen und seit dem ist der „Rock’o’graph“ wieder auf Tour.

live my
dream,
my
passion for
music,
my
sympathy
for musicians
and my ferventness for
photography.
It
is
not my intention to take documentary
shots,
but
to capture the
emotions.
While
I shoot, I do
dance,
bawl and
sing.
Size What
I
feel
me
both
as part of the
band, as well as part
of the audience.
So the
quality of my
images
dependent
pretty much on the current atmosphere in these
magical
moments of
music.
My
first
concert
photos
I've
taken
around 1979.
This
means:
photographed,
designed
and
developed the
negative myself.
In
the period until
1985 I shoot
artists such as
Rory
Gallagher,
Bo
Diddley,
Chuck
Berry, The
G. Tells
Band,
ZZ
Top,
Richie
Blackmore.
A fire in my photo lab has destroyed all the negatives and prints. Only a handful of negatives survived. After this fire I wasn't able to handle a camera for 25 years.
With the beginning of 2014 I wanted to try it again and since the "Rock'o'graph" is back on tour.
